Azalea Festival

Join us for the annual Azalea Festival, celebrating the breathtaking blooms at Honor Heights Park!

Since 1968, Honor Heights Park has showcased 40 acres of meticulously manicured gardens, featuring over 30,000 azaleas in 625 varieties. Throughout April, visitors can enjoy this stunning display, often considered one of the top spring events in the nation.

The festival celebrates the blooming of azaleas, tulips, dogwoods, and wisteria as these beautiful buds unfurl with the warmer temperatures of spring.

Explore Honor Heights Park and enjoy:
* Scenic drives along paved roadways winding through blooming flowers
* Walkways perfect for runners or birdwatchers
* Five lakes and picturesque ponds
* A butterfly sanctuary
* A tree arboretum

Beyond the natural beauty, the Azalea Festival also features:
* A lively parade with floats, antique cars, clowns, pageant queens, horseback riders, and cyclists
* A variety of food vendors
* Charming carriage rides through the blooms

In recent years, the festival has expanded to include:
* A chili cook-off
* Quilt exhibits
* Arts and crafts displays
* A 5K, 15K, and fun run
* A bike ride
* Plenty of live entertainment

Mid-April brings "Party in the Park," a special tasting of Oklahoma food and wine set amidst thousands of blooming tulips under tents.

Honor Heights Park - Bloom Updates

Visit our beautiful Honor Heights Park and the Papilion Gardens beginning April 1st.
Gardens will be open daily for visitors.
Monday-Saturday: 9am-3pm
Sunday: 1pm-4pm
Admission is free to enter the Papilion gardens during the month of April.
Azaleas and tulips bloom in the month of April. Butterflies will arrive Mother's Day Weekend for visitors inside the Butterfly House.
